(9) $730,981 for upgrades/improvements to the West Cambridge Park owned by and located within the City of Greenwood;
Project Overview
To renovate and improve the playground area of West Cambridge Park (opened in 2003).
West Cambridge Park is an essential community space that has provided endless hours of enjoyment for families and individuals for many years. However, the current state of the parking lot, playgrounds, and gazebo areas has deteriorated over time, posing safety risks and detracting from the overall appeal of the park. By investing in the repair and update of these key areas, we can revitalize the park and create a safer, more inviting environment for our community members to gather, play, and celebrate. A well-maintained parking lot will provide convenient access to the park for visitors of all ages and abilities, while upgraded playgrounds will offer children a safe and engaging space to explore and socialize. Additionally, enhancing the gazebo areas will allow for hosting community events and gatherings in a picturesque and functional setting. These necessary improvements will not only benefit current park users but also attract new visitors, ultimately contributing to the overall well-being and cohesion of our community.
