About the 2016 Capital Projects Sales Tax

This proposed 2024 Greenwood Capital Project Sales Tax would be similar to the 2016 Greenwood CPST that was approved by Greenwood County voters November 8, 2016. The 2016 CPST began collecting on May 1, 2017 and will stop collecting on April 30, 2025. Here are some details concerning the 2016 ordinance and the projects it involved.

  • As of July 2024, the 2016 sales tax has generated a little over $77 million since May 1, 2017.
